100% Certified Organic Chicken Eggs
Comes to us from Day Creek Organics via Walla Walla Food Hub. Established in 2002 as Day Creek Organics, but farming since 1976. Day Creek Organics are Certified Organic Egg producer, being 100% Organic. We are local to our customer and ecologically friendly. We have an automated cleaning system which renews the sawdust litter floors daily! We have no commercial caged layers & have a generous size of outdoor yards more than qualifies to be called Free Range. In 2005 we added on a farm feed mill so that we can have full control of the quality of our feed and save money by buying Certified Organic grains from local farmers.
We make a final quality check of the eggs as the cartons are closed by hand to guarantee high quality standards.
Looking to the future, as demand increases our crop mix is starting to include organic feed crops; silage corn, wheat, green chop and hay. Our farm is located near the mouth of the Skagit River, on the outskirts of the town of LaConner. Owned and operated by third generation David Hedlin and Serena Campbell, we continue to be a family operation, with sister Mary Hedlin, daughter Lauren Hedlin and nephew Kai Ottesen all working on the farm. We are committed to the longterm stewardship of our land and waters, the health of our workers, and to growing the highest quality produce the Magic Skagit has to offer. We hope you'll join us!Certified Organic - All of our field grown fruits and vegetables are WSDA and USDA certified organic.
Pesticide Free - Our greenhouse vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and cucumbers) are pesticide free. These crops are not certified organic because we do use some conventional fertilizer for our greenhouse vegetable production.
